Small groups are one of the most effective environments in which people may explore their faith in a safe space, grow as disciples and nurture authentic relationships. Do you (or your congregation) have an interest in starting or enriching a small group gathering? This could be for exploring scripture together, discussing a theme, hosting a book club or some other type of small group.

Emphasis is on creating new missional gatherings, but many of the principles apply to small groups of other types.

Topics include: Small group best practices, Getting the invitation out, Being an effective host (not an expert teacher), Dealing with difficult questions, and more!

Spring Training: Small Group Facilitation is ideal for lay people who wish to explore the possibility of hosting small group gatherings. Clergy are warmly invited to attend too.

Additional information can be found on the church calendar.
