Small groups are one of the most effective environments in which people may explore their faith in a safe space, grow as disciples and nurture authentic relationships. Do you (or your congregation) have an interest in starting or enriching a small group gathering? This could be for exploring scripture together, discussing a theme, hosting a book club or some other type of small group.
Emphasis is on creating new missional gatherings, but many of the principles apply to small groups of other types.
Topics include: Small group best practices, Getting the invitation out, Being an effective host (not an expert teacher), Dealing with difficult questions, and more!
Spring Training: Small Group Facilitation is ideal for lay people who wish to explore the
possibility of hosting small group gatherings. Clergy are warmly invited to attend too.
