On Sunday December 15th, St. Luke's was delighted to welcome the a cappella group Polaris who entertained the crowd with their beautiful voices.
On Dec 13th, St. Luke's held a Christmas craft and movie night.  7 kids & 8 adults watched 'That Christmas'. Thanks to Lyda Miller and Susan Aulenback for organizing this event.
On Wednesday, December 4th, a social evening was held in St. Luke's Parish Hall, sponsored by the Outreach Mission Group and organized by Clair MacInnis. Admission was by donation with all proceeds going to the Hubbards Food Bank. There was also a silent auction of donated items with those proceeds going to other outreach projects. Great music was provided by Peter Grant and friends, Shaun Richards, Mike Purdy, Gloria Butler and Glenda Joy who gave generously of their time and talent. A great time was had by everyone in the capacity crowd.

The St Luke's ACW held their
    annual Christmas Sale on November 30 in the Parish Hall.
    There was a great turn-out of folks taking advantage of
    great sales of new-to-you, Christmas ware, baked goods,
    a penny auction and a well stocked canteen and
    supporting St Luke's, $3,598.40 was raised.

    held at Two Coves Cafe on November 7, sponsored by
    The Outreach Mission Group, hosted by the Cafe and
    organized by Brenda Munro. Music was by Shenanigan,

Live music for St. Luke's Remembrance Service was provided by violinist Debbie Miles and pianist Peter Grant. Music selections included 'White Cliffs of Dover' and 'Rise Again'.

The church was beautifully decorated for Thanksgiving by church volunteers that came out on Saturday to help decorate. One final floral arrangement was made from the Bremner's garden before the stormy weather set in. The arrangement included hydrangea, burning bush, astilbe, cosmos, zinnias, sunflowers, roses and different coloured lisianthus.

Morning prayer services were held on Sunday, October 6th at St. Luke's and St. Mark's and were led by Clair MacInnis and assisted by Lyda Miller. St. Luke's altar flowers were from the Bremner's garden and included hydrangea, zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, roses, astilbie and seven different coloured lisianthus. The garden flowers are coming to an end so this will probably be the last altar bouquets from the garden. Thank you for all the wonderful comments online and in-person this year regarding the flowers.
A lovely morning prayer service was held on Sunday, September 29th at St. Luke's and was led by LLM Lyda Miller. The altar flowers were from the Bremner garden and included hydrangea, zinnias, sunflowers, cosmos, and lisianthus in purple, two tone purple and white, pink, champagne, and white.

The theme of today's service was Bread and we were also treated to some home-made bread made by Clair. Today's garden bouquet included hydrangea, different coloured lisianthus, red zinnias, peach shrub roses, white and pink cosmos and two-tone pink gladiolus.

August 4, 2024, flowers on the altar were placed in loving memory of Steven Ramey from Kingsley, Jane & Family. The arrangements included a mixture of roses, hydrangea, zinnias, cosmos, lisianthus, calla lilies and various greenery.

On July 21, 2024, a parish service was held at St. Mark's Church in Mill Cove. It was very nice to see such a great crowd! The altar flowers were mostly dark pink rambling roses with an Asiatic Lily and Shasta Daisy in each bouquet along with Lady's Mantle, Snowball Bush, white Hydrangea and Astilbe, pink Spirea, calla Lily and leaves.

July 14th altar flowers are a combination of different coloured roses; mostly peach and pink shrub roses but also a few hybrid teas. Also included in the bouquets are calla lilies, pink spirea, pink and white astilbe, lady's mantle and calla lily leaves.

On Saturday, April 20th, St. Luke's Parish led an Earth Day garbage cleanup in the area of the Exit 6 Carpool. A total of 52 bags of garbage were collected.
