St. Luke's Sunday School

Please Note: At this time Sunday School is not being held.

Any parents interested in having their children regularly attend Sunday School at St. Luke's are encouraged to contact one of our Sunday School instructors (contact info below).

The current Sunday School curriculum is called Whirl. Every Whirl lesson follows a four-part sequence: Welcome, Hear, Respond, and Launch (WHRL!). Each week, kids and leaders start their time together by identifying where they are in the church year and watch a short video which sets the stage for the lesson, bible readings and activities to complete. Most videos deal with the concerns of the world, not just the church, including bullying, refugees and Habitat for Humanity.

St. Luke's Sunday School presents an annual skit and song before Christmas with stewardship for the parish afterwards. There is a picnic held at Bishop's Park during the last Sunday School before summer.

In 2017 the children collected money by doing various chores to purchase a goat for a village in Africa.

As part of our mission to stay connected with children, Licensed Lay Minister Lyda Miller will read sections from The Little Children's Bible Storybook by Anne de Graaf, Jose Perez Montero.
